What information is collected
We (InterAssist First Aid Training) collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. We may collect personally identifiable information (your name, phone number, email address, enquiries messages and any comments or feedback you provide). We may also collect basic payment information (including purchase history, type of credit card and the final four digits of a credit card number). We also measure and collect website session information, including frequency of visits and page interaction.
If you purchase training services via the website, we will not collect detailed payment information (such as your credit’s card’s entire number, expiry date or CVC. Instead, you are directed to Stripe Checkout for payment processing. Stripe (via Stripe Checkout) will collect personal information and detailed payment information from you, but is a completely separate entity and service.
How information is collected
When you enquire about a course or make a course booking, we will collect personally identifiable information as outlined above. When you purchase training services via the website, we will collect payment information as outlined above. When you visit our website, automated software tools are used to measure and collect session information.
Why information is collected
We collect personal information and brief payment information in order to: provide and operate our training services; provide customers with ongoing assistance and support; be able to contact customers with general information about training services as well as course booking information and/or confirmation; create aggregated and de-identified statistical data, which may help us or our business partners improve our services; comply with applicable Japanese and international laws and regulations.
Storage, use and sharing of information
The InterAssist website is hosted on Webflow, which provides the online platform that allows us to sell training services to you. The website also integrates Setmore online scheduling software to facilitate course bookings. A small amount of your data may therefore be stored by Webflow and Setmore, on secure servers behind a firewall.
Stripe (as InterAssist’s direct payment gateway) adheres to standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, a joint initiative of Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and other major financial services companies. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by Stripe.
Importantly, we will not share your personal or payment information with advertisers, other companies or third parties. The only exception to this is when limited personal information is provided to MFA Japan as part of standard Training Center accreditation, Instructor Authorisation and quality maintenance processes. This information is provided after every training course in the form of a course completion roster and evaluation feedback.
Communication with website visitors
We may contact you: regarding an enquiry or request you have made; to provide information about course options; to confirm details of a booked course; to troubleshoot payment problems; to resolve a dispute; to collect fees or monies owed; to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to update you about InterAssist or our training services; to remind you that your First Aid Certification is due for renewal; or as otherwise necessary to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email or telephone.
